Birstall and Wanlip Mothers’ Union

 

The Mothers’ Union is a Christian mission organisation working through grassroots membership to support families and communities around the world.

There are 4 million members in 83 countries worldwide

 


Mission 

  • To promote and support married life
  • To encourage parents in their role to develop the faith of their children
  • To maintain a worldwide fellowship of Christians united in prayer, worship and service
  • To promote conditions in society favourable to stable family life & the protection of children
  • To help those whose family life has met with adversity

 

Everything our Mothers’ Union does

is rooted in prayer.

Birstall and Wanlip Mothers’ Union

meets at St James church, Church Hill, Birstall, Leicester, LE4 4DJ

in the Community Area.

 

Our meetings take place on:-

 4th Friday of each month 7.45pm – 9.30pm

 We have speakers/discussions/social events at these meetings. 

There is a charge of £1 to include refreshments.

                                                                                                             

Our Mothers’ Union Prayer Group meets on:-

3rd Wednesday of each month at 2.00pm in the old part of St James church, followed by tea & biscuits.

At this time we pray mainly for the concerns of the Parish of Birstall & Wanlip so 

whether you are a parent or not

whether you are married or not

whether you are a grandparent or not

whether you are male or female                          

If you are concerned with supporting family life with all its joys and difficulties, please contact us or just come to one of our meetings.  
(Membership of Mothers' Union is also open to those unable to attend meetings.)
