Ash Wednesday Holy Communion - Wednesday 22nd February at 7.30pm at Wanlip
Ash Wednesday, marks the beginning of Lent, forty day, the liturgical period of prayer and fasting. Ash Wednesday derives its name from the practice of placing ashes on the foreheads of adherents as a sign of mourning and repentance to God. The ashes are derived from the burning of the previous year's Palm Sunday crosses.
5th Sundays On 5th Sundays of a month different forms of service are held. The next will be on April 29th at 6pm in Wanlip Chuch.
